Manual Therapy and Shoulder Pain
If you’ve been dealing with persistent shoulder pain, the source may not be your shoulder at all. A 2025 review of clinical trials found that manual therapy directed at the thoracic spine, the middle portion of your back, improved pain, movement, and function in patients with shoulder impingement.
The shoulder doesn’t work in isolation. It relies on the upper back and shoulder blade to move correctly, so stiffness in the thoracic spine often shows up as pain elsewhere. Restoring healthy movement in that area can take pressure off the shoulder joint itself.
Pain doesn’t always point straight to its cause. If shoulder discomfort has been slowing you down, the issue might actually be sitting further up your spine.

Shoulder pain been around for 6-7 weeks now .....slightly getting better but who knows
